The Indian Institute of Architecture (IIA) Excellence in Architecture Awards 2008 was hosted by the West Bengal Chapter of the Indian Institute of Architecture at Town Hall, Kolkata. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, the Mayor of Kolkata, graced the ceremony with his presence.  Around 300 architects from across West Bengal attended the three-day event along with eminent architects from the executive committee members of Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Ess Ess Bathroom Products Pvt Ltd sponsored the entire convention. The IIA Awards comprised various fields of architecture and included categories like public buildings or complexes, residential, industrial structures, complexes or estates, landscape design, interiors and research. |
