Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, Interior Lifestyle China-China International Trade Fair for household Products and Accessories, is expected to be a platform for leveraging China’s best in the luxury interior industry. The fair will be held between November 11 and 14, 2009, at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, and it will feature high-end and innovative household products and accessories from China and all around the globe. The four-day, trader-focused event that will be spread over 12, 000 sq m will be open to public on the fourth day of the event.
The global slowdown has borne witness to the gradually stooping of China’s export figures. To countervent a national slowdown, the Chinese government has implemented various schemes to provide a fillip to the industry and promote consumer trade in the country’s rural and urban areas. This has led to the growth of retail sales by 21.6 percent in 2008, thus presenting a prolific demand market, conducive to further accelerate business. Events such as these are expected to help stimulate regional activity, and claim the involvement of several international trade organisations that are eager to put their best foot forward and present their latest wares. Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Portugal’s Associação Selectiva Modam are some of the international brand names that one could expect to meet at the exhibition.

Following the success of Interior Lifestyle China in 2008, the third annual affair is scheduled to retain some of its more illustrious segments introduced last year, such as ‘Process Warm Showcase,’ organised by China Furnishing Designer Brand Alliance. The exalted exhibition was mainly intended to display the work of avant-garde Chinese designers. This particular programme was also witnessed at the Tendence Lifestyle Fair in Frankfurt, Germany, held in July 2009.
The programme, which is expected to garner a total footfall of around 8,170 from 35 countries, will include many other displays. The Second China House Ware Market Developing Conference, Business Matching Salon, Brand Presentation, On Design Shanghai, From Scratch to Success (panel discussion), Process Warm Showcase, etc, are some of these.
The highlight of the event, however, which will unfold at the Interior Lifestyle China 2009 ceremony dinner party, is the much coveted Home Style Awards. Organised by Shanghai Commercial Information Center and supported by China Consumer Market Information Network, the awards accredit outstanding innovators, including manufacturers, distributors and retailers, in the sphere of luxury furnishings. |
