The event will be held under the guidance and expertise of Chennai Real Estate Agents Association Come July and Indian realty will once again witness a grand event.The reason: The National Association of Realtors-India (NAR), a non-profit organisation affiliated to NAR-USA, is set to hold its second annual convention in Chennai. The first annual convention was held in Pune from March 6-7 in 2009. Around 350 professionals from the entire realty fraternity attended the grand event.
“Increasing influx of MNCs in the country in recent times has significantly increased the demand for quality and professionalism at the grass root level. So, the 2-day convention would aim at elevating the standards of fair practice and code of ethics, introducing strategies and building better understanding among shareholders in the real estate sector,” says C Suresh Reddy, chairman of NAR-India 2010, while speaking to the media.
Event venue and schedule
The venue for the second annual convention has been fixed at The Radisson Resort Temple Bay in Mamallapuram, Chennai. The event will be held for 2 days from July 16-17.
The event will be held under the guidance and expertise of Chennai Real Estate Agents Association (CREAA), a non-profit entity offering property consulting services in various segments such as commercial, rental, lease, retail, layouts and residential since 1999.
Event itinerary
The event itinerary for Day 1 includes:
Ø 10 am - Inauguration and release of CREAA souvenir
Ø 11.15 am – 5.45 pm – Seminar (Hall 1) and educational programme (Hall 2)
Following is the programme schedule for Day 2:
Ø 9.30-11.30 am – NAR-India AGM[1]
Ø 11.15 am – 3.45 pm – Seminar/educational programme
Ø 4-6 pm - Convention
Divulging further details on the convention, Jayant Hemdev, co-chairman of NAR India 2010, says, “Apart from opening up opportunities for developers, the convention will act as an ideal platform for the real estate brokerage community. We expect over 500 from across India and abroad to attend this gala event.”
Topics and speakers
The convention will address a wide range of topics such as opportunities and challenges in the property sector, legal aspects of transaction, warehousing and logistics, FDI funding and others. The highlight of the event is an educational programme on ‘Marketing real estate for profit’, which will be addressed by the international expert Marcus Wally.
Some of the prominent speakers would be Irfan Razack, CMD of Prestige Group, T Chitty Babu, MD of Akshaya Homes Pvt Ltd, GRK Reddy, chairman of Marg Construction and Pradeep Jain, chairman of Parsvanth Developers.
