AECOM Technology Corporation, a worldwide professional , technical and management support services provider for both government and commercial clients, has recently been awarded with a contract by the US Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment. The company is one of 40 companies chosen for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by the agency. The contract, for the Worldwide Environmental Restoration and Construction ‘09 (WERC09) Program, will be valid for a duration of five years. AECOM will deliver services for environmental restoration and remediation during the performance-based contract, which is worth over $3 billion.
The company has also been awarded two other WERC09 contracts, the first of which involves decommissioning and removal of groundwaterextraction and soil-vapour-extraction treatment systems at the March Air Reserve Base in California. The second project involves the remediation of surface soils at Wisconsin’s General Mitchell Air Reserve Station.
